Clubcard Points for Tesco Credit Card

I don't think you actually need to use the credit card to pay. I've been using a different card to pay but scanning the Tesco credit card first. I thought I'd probably only get the clubcard 1 point per £4 spent at PFS but looking at my transaction history for a £30 spend I have 2 entries. PFS £0.00 30 points and PFS £0.00 7 points.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

I have similar for my Tesco Bank debit card when using in Tesco.
I see the base points transaction on Clubcard account.
The extra points then get added to the overall figure but not as another transaction on my Clubcard account.
I don't see then written down anywhere until the Clubcard statement, Tesco Current Account section. And that's just a numerical figure, no list of transactions.0 -

The next batch of statements start to arrive from May 17th so hopefully you can see them then? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Why on earth is it done like this.
I did realise now after your post WillPS that mines are credited on different dates, but that on the whole they do appear to tally.
Thanks you SOOOOOOOO much. This was starting to stress me out.
Out of interest the premium card I researched earlier as I was digging into the credit card website FAQs and emailing them etc. However they no longer offer the premium card to new people. This is very annoying as for our circumstances the family travel insurance and the in effect double clubcard points on fuel spend etc would be amazing value for us for the £150/yr card fee.
Again, cannot thank you enough.
You should get a job for Tesco clubcard customer services!
Chris.
Yes, the Premium Credit Card is a very good product. After they closed it to new applicants they withdrew the travel insurance and changed the bonus from 5000 Clubcard Points for £5000 annual Tesco spend to 2500 Points for £2500 Tesco spend. They also dropped the annual fee from £150 to £36. Long may it last in this form! I had intended to cancel after the first year as I had no use for the travel insurance and a Tesco Debit card that gave the same rate in Tesco stores and at filling stations, so I couldn't justify spending £150 for 5000 Clubcard points; £36 for 2500 is a no-brainer tho.
It's a shame they don't offer the card in this form to new cardholders. The best feature is actually the Clubcard point every £4 of non-Tesco spend, which equates to between 0.5 and 0.75% back when used on Clubcard Rewards - pretty damn good for a Mastercard.0 -

Annoyingly if you have an online-only (aka no overdraft) Current Account your debit card won't work for Pay at Pump, even if you want to use another card to pay with. I imagine the same is true with their new Clubcard Pay, tho I haven't actually tried.1 -

Raised a question on Tesco Bank's website and it is an 'online authorisation' card however they say they know how important it is to be able to pay for your fuel so it's limited to one Pay @ Pump transaction per day. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history.
