Do RBS still allow you to select a sort code?

Definitely the former, lol. Great fun though.1

An update. I received my debit card this morning and it was a Child & Co branded card. Rather smart.

Hi @gsmh! You seem to be the most recent person on the internet to have been able to open one of these accounts and I'm jealous! I really want one.
Do you happen to recall at which stage of the application you were given the option to select the sort code? I'm currently at theft that's asking me to choose a digital banking pin and password. Do you remember if it was before or after this section of the process?
Thanks!0 -
Hi @RBSCCOthrowaway. I can’t remember at what stage I was asked for the sort code I wanted. I didn’t already have an RBS account though ….1

@gsmh Ah, okay! Thank you for replying! I'm also a new customer to RBS, and don't yet have an account. My whole reason for signing up is to try to get one of these cards! Love how fancy they look in Apple Pay!1

If the former I won't bother, if the latter I might be interested...0 -
EarthBoy said:I understand that the current RBS website no longer lets you choose your branch when you apply for a current account. However, if you use this old link instead, it will let you select your preferred branch by address or sort code:

You need to enter sort code 15 80 00 if you want a Child & Co account.1 -
I don't suppose there's a way to do this through Natwest is there (given Child & Co is part of the Natwest group)? As I already have an established relationship with them and opening a new account would take about 5 mins, so I might give it a go just for a giggle (whereas I wouldn't bother if it meant having to start from scratch with another bank...).Would also be interesting to see what my current Natwest RM would make of it all!0
