Transfer of equity/house deeds question

Me and my OH bought a house last September, I used the sale of my previous flat towards the deposit and he used some inheritance money. Due to me not working (I left previous employment due to ill health), he applied for the mortgage by himself therefore being a first time buyer. I want to go on the deeds of the house without being on the actual mortgage as obviously we wouldn't be able to borrow as much. My main concern is that I have discovered my OH has been spending on credit cards which I didn't know he had and I am worried he could remortgage the house without me knowing. Would transfer of equity (being on the deeds) be enough to prevent him from doing this without my knowledge or consent? I just want to protect my interests in the house and ensure ourselves and our children won't lose our family home? Thanks in advance.
Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhear
I want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......
Must STOP spending!!!

Proud to be dealing with my debts!

The lender will not agree to the dilution of their security which sharing the ownership will bring. If he fails to repay, they need to repossess... Boom. Instantly a LOT harder.
Normally, it's a straight question of "Owner? Borrower. Borrower? Owner."
"On the deeds" means owner. Not on the deeds means not owner. Right now, it's 100% his house. You did not buy it, you do not own it.
Did you lend him your money, or gift it to him? What did he tell the lender...?1 -
If you are married or in a civil partnership, you can register home rights with the Land Registry.www.gov.uk/government/publications/notice-of-home-rights-registration-hr11
