Covid Vaccine with no Photo ID?

My son has received notification for his first covid vaccination at one of it's centres. Unfortunately he does not have any photo ID, does not have a driving licence and his passport expired a few years ago. I contacted the Health board and they are insisting photo ID is required. Anyone else had the same problem?

Same here, I’ve never heard of anyone in England needing photo ID. We didn’t even need to show any invite, we just turned up, names checked against list and had our jab.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The health board? Where does your son live. It's definitely not a legal requirement in England1

This is not a legal requirement in England at least.
I'd consider an expired passport to be valid for this purpose as long as he is still vaguely recognisable from the photo.💙💛 💔0 -
need it for NI but out of date passport will do
https://covid-19.hscni.net/guidance/what-do-i-need-to-know-about-visiting-the-vaccine-centre/You must bring photo ID and proof of your age, e.g. passport, driving licence, electoral card, or travel pass. Photo identification which has passed its expiration date is acceptable.
