Pet treats?

I often make treats for my dog and have recently been trying to look into selling them online, etsy and similar places.

Looking into it it's so hard to see what licences etc I'd need to get, there is so much out of date info out there too.

Does anyone do this and could advise what the legal starting blocks would be?! Obviously I'm probably not going to make my millions with this, but I wanted to know if its worth trying

Register an animal feed business - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Local trading standards and the food agency seem the first port of call... the later was very helpful on a totally unrelated matter for me.

Yeah I've contacted the food standards agency and they've sent me a LOT of stuff to go through, how many people that sell things like this actually bother I wonder!

It is interesting that making pet treats have more regulations than food for humans.
