Patio weeding tool

For my driveway I go into LIDL, buy a 18 pence 500gram box of table salt, sprinkle it over the weeds, wait a day they are brown and will blow away in the wing in a couple of days.

Never used them but I read the idea was to give the weed a quick singe to make it droop / flop and dry out in the sun, then a few days later repeat because by then it should be crisp & dry enough to turn to ash with just touch of flame

But I think they're more aimed at seedlings where a hard stare will wither them
