Hi All
Moving house this Saturday and there was some confusion as the existing BB was supposed to be left in place but has been cancelled, BB was with Sky and the phoneline is with BT. I'm with Virgin and they cannot transfer so need a new supplier.
The difficulty here is that I am being quoted 2 week connection as Plusnet & Sky said they'd need to send out an engineer.
Does anyone know if there is a way I could find out which supplier could connect me immediately, ie: plug in the hub and go! Even if it is a monthly rolling job.
Thanks in advance and for reading

Mobile dongle or 4g router & (unlimited) data sim? Depending on which provider has the best signal - only Vodafone is good for me in my location so I use Lebara which is a 30 day contract, but plenty of others offer it too.1

It really makes no difference which supplier you go with as they all have to request Openreach to reactivate or provision the line.
As flash67 says. if it's essential that you have a broadband connection then get a 4g mifi unit or even use your mobile phone as a hot spot.
Bear in mind that if the line has been terminated then there's no guarantee that it can be reprovisioned if there's a waiting listing in your area so it's a good idea to have the 4g fall back if it all goes pear shaped. (we changes suppliers (SKY to BT) a couple of years back and in the confusion we lost broadband for four weeks and the phone for six)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
