Morning folks
Well I didnt do any knitting last night as I dragged OH out for a walk. We narrowly avoided getting soaked in a storm but did get a picture of (as identified by @allydowd) a rare twinned rainbow! It was actually a twin with a double which was pretty cool and worth getting out!
Water bill arrived today and it's gone up by £9 a month. I'm not suprised as OH's favourite lockdown pastime was a draw a full bath and wallow in it for 2 hours almost every day. I was saving the water to flush the loo previously but having water in the bath all the time was causing some little flecks of rust to come through the enamel so I stopped that. I suppose as a method of keeping him occupied for a couple of hours, £9 a month is a small price to pay.
Small things:I'm WFH today so keeping petrol costs down - done
Try and motivate myself to do 10 mins of dusting - nope but I did clean the kitchen
Will get out and walk up to the allotment to pootle round for half an hour. Things are looking good for the rain - done
Heating OFF. Water, to be saved
- done
B/L/D from stores - done
Messaged my coach about returning to the gym on Monday - done
Eat healthily and avoid sugary things. This is going well now I've put my mind to it - done
Have a good one all

Evening all,
not done much besides working today! I also did my couch to 5K jog. I’m starting swimming again Monday with my other friend. I also managed to grab a bargain on eBay on a Garmin smart watch, £45 second hand when they usually sell for £90/100. Morning folks
In work today and have a few jobs on my late which is a change!
That weird thing in my gum came out last night. It was a tiny piece of tooth? Bone? Only about the size of a pin head so hopefully gum will heal over now.
I knitted up another square last night. Maybe I need a tally like @foxgloves. I think I've done about 20? Then I cast on a sock for one of my work colleagues. He's not been well and they think he might have an autoimmune disease which sucks so I thought he might like a present. I might also be in reciept of a squishy yarn parcel today as I'm going to knit OH a jumper!
In small things:B/L/D from stores
Washing out on line in a hopeful way. OH on alert to bring it in if it rains
Couple of podcasts to watch with OH tonight. Love a bit of Arne and Carlos
Continue with sock
Have a good one all

Morning allWorking this afternoon, at the shop where I rent my sales unit. It is really dead this week, as the road is closed due to resurfacing, so it will probably be really boring. I will have to walk too, as there is no access to the shop's car park. Wouldn't mind at all usually, but my foot and legs are still a bit sore after my trip at the weekendAnyway, dog walk done. We took him on a slightly longer route this morning in the hope of him being a bit calmer and less excitable than he has been for the past couple of days. He has got in his bed, so the signs are good so far! It is a difficult balance to give him enough exercise and at the same time not over-stretch him as he recovers from his operation. The recovery period is long, at least 5 months, and he is still young so has a lot of energy, and tries to run and jump, which he shouldn't be doing.Icyland shop is arriving this morning, and OH will go out later for fresh fruit and the few things I need that Icyland don't stock. I must write him a short, though really detailed list! BTW, Icyland have a good offer on tinned tomatoes at the moment, 5 cans for £2.00, which is the cheapest I have seen for a while. I am also a convert to their frozen broccoli and cauliflower, which are only £1 a bag and if steamed rather than boiled to bits are indistinguishable from fresh.Usual kitchen and bathroom clean / tidy needed. I did a bit of floor cleaning and dusting yesterday, so not too bad. I ought to clean the dreaded black and white tiles on the bathroom floor for the umpteenth time this week though.I will need to water the young plants in the greenhouse (I will be so glad when the weather finally lets up and they can go out!) and a couple of things in very large pots which don't get enough water from rain alone.Dinner will be meat balls in tomato sauce with pasta, and I need to 'do something' with a few sprouty potatoes - possibly fish cakes for tomorrow. Using up freezer stuff that has been in there a while, so all good!Hope everyone has a good day4

Hi May Marvelousos,It's all go here. Staying busy to stay sane.Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Seven:Checked online banking.Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.Turn off Wifi box when not using it.Yesterday I climbed a mountain, which kept me away from online shopping. The car park has gone from £2 per day to pay by the hour so I waited 3 minutes before I bought a ticket and saved £1.Turn my home laptop off when I'm not using it.Today we are going to a walk around a country estate that I frequent. It's free entry. I'm taking a packed lunch with me.Drinking cappuccino sachets I bought ages ago. They're not great but need using up.

Big win today! Car insurance is due for renewal next month they quoted me £1300! Last year I was only paying £737!! So I went onto a comparison website and seen an offer on for £588! Bargain deal, saved myself some money as I purchased a few weeks before!

Afternoon all@allydowd, you do make me laugh - next time I am tempted by online shopping I need to follow your example and climb a mountain I think
There aren't actually any mountains round here, so will have to make do with a low hill..... might work I suppose!
Good saving on the car insurance there @Jadewest94I think we have had every kind of weather today except for snow! I had to wear a woolly hat, warm coat and gloves (and umbrella, in case) on this morning's dog walk, it waited to rain till we got back, much to the dog's relief, and it is now sunny and quite hot. Wish the weather would make its mind up, and get to grips that it is now mid-May. I have plants that need to go out, but it is just too unpredictable atmMade a phone call that I had been putting off this morningQuick tidy upSpent the afternoon sorting out the garage - got OH to hammer some nails into the beams, to hang up some of the stuff that he won't let me throw outManaged to get rid of quite a lot of carp though, and rehomed some other things. Quite tidy now. OH was complaining that he couldn't get to his welding bench because it was covered in plant pots. He still can't, but the plant pots are elsewhere and the offending detritus is yet more of his stuff
He is a bit of a hoarder and tends to accumulate things that he likes, and things that 'might come in useful'. He will probably get fed up with the stuff on the welding bench, as opposed to putting it away somewhere, and give it to me to sell.
We also put the large French kitchen cupboard back into the conservatory, and put back most of the things that we took out of it, after a good sort out, of course. We use the conservatory as a utility / boot room, and things like the dog food, wild bird food, seed tin, shoe cleaning stuff, other cleaning stuff that won't fit iunder the sink, etc go in this cupboard. Now need to water the greenhouse plants.OH made fish cakes for dinner, while I was getting covered in dust sorting out the garage, so I just need to cook those, plus something to go with them2
