Hi I am trying to add my work email ( name.surname@ abcdefg.co.uk) to outlook as the only place on the PC i can access it is via google work space (Gmail) I think its called but would like it on my e mail client.
I have followed the instructions here https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7126229?authuser=1&visit_id=637560688813477120-104388659&hl=en-GB&rd=1#zippy=%2Ci-cant-sign-in-to-my-email-client
But just get this result see pic.
The password i am using is the same password i use to sign into my work emails on the work space thing.
sorry about the size as i don't know how to adjust the photo size.
Help please
Thanks

I suspect you're doing something wrong.  If you're trying to access your work email (fred@myworkcompany.co.uk for argument's sake) its unlikely to be a Google thing or connection, that's just how its been set up in that Gmail account.  Check with your IT department in the first instance.

There are many companies that use G.Suite accounts.
It's more likely that the settings are different than what OP has typed, mainly the mail server and connection details.

Does the "work" address/account have an option for 2-factor authentication, and is it turned on? If yes to both then you probably need to set an app password. (Apologies if you've already looked at that).

Definitely check with your IT department to see if they allow this - it is possible they may have done something to block this - I know we do.  I know companies were it is a dismissable offence to add work emails to the likes of gmail, hotmail, yahoo etc.

That's not what the OP is trying to do though, is it? I've read it as they're trying to add their work email to their local copy of Outlook (the Office application).

Outlook is Microsoft's email application.  Google Mail requires an @gmail or @googlemail email address.  As the OP discovered, .co.uk addresses do not work.  I have an ntlworld email address. I know that Virgin's email is hosted by Google but I have to go through their own mail server to access it.

Outlook has several guises - webmail, an email client on your PC and an email address - simple isn't it!
You can 'harvest' email from *most* addresses into gmail

I am confident that the Outlook in question here is the email/calendar etc. application that comes as part of Office - the clue is in the screenshot in the OP ;)

my work email is with outllook express. and it works fine, sending and receiving. I use  Name.surname@somegroup.net. and its fine.
I have to add to that,I know nothing of the it world, and when ever there's a problem, I pass it on to someone else asap.
