Hello good people, I hope everyone on here is still giving these arrogant Parking Cowboy lots of grief!

After successfully (with everyone’s help here) getting my outrageous PCN rescinded just before the CC hearing It’s been a while but I’ve only just found time to get started on a DVLA formal complaint letter, my first draught is below, any suggestions will be gratefully accepted....

FORMAL COMPLAINT: GDPR VIOLATION

My vehicle xxxxxx was issued with a private PCN by a company called VCS Ltd from 2 Europa Business Park. Sheffield S9 1XE, who operate at East Midlands Airport, as parking enforcement agents.

VCS Ltd dishonestly gained my private address/details from the DVLA, VCS gave false location details of my vehicle in order to obtain these details.

This is in direct contravention to GDPR regulations.

I would like a full explanation as to why DVLA have been so careless with my private information please.

Some details follow to assist in your investigation.

My Vehicle: Reg; xxxxxx  Make; xxxxxxxxx

Date: xx/xx/xx  20:16pm

PCN ref: VCS381xxxxxx

Contravention reason: Stopping in a zone where no stopping is prohibited

Location: Fuel Station forecourt BP station East Midlands Airport. DE742SA

Photographic evidence supplied by VCS Ltd clearly shows the position of my vehicle on the customer parking area/fuel station forecourt, but their request to DVLA for my information clearly states the vehicle was “At the privately operated access roads” to the Fuel Station.This is a blatant lie/deception just to collect my name from the DVLA for use in the VCS's automated money harvester, which solely designed to collect money by using county court threat and the intimidation of innocent motorists. Most of which pay quickly to reduce their cost and save the intense harassment.

The DVLA are assisting this menacing method of collection by their inadequate sentinel of driver details.

My particular case took nearly 2 years to defend, VCS proceeded with county court summons, and then eventually retracted this shortly before the hearing date.

This is a very serious problem that I feel the DVLA are assisting, I feel that the DVLA have frivolously issued my driver data information, which is a blatant abuse of their GDPR obligation and my GDPR rights.

I have sent a copy of this Formal complaint to my local Member of Parliament, Prax/BP Station and East Midlands Airport

I would like a written confirmation of your receipt of this FORMAL COMPLAINT please, and then your explanation for issuing VCS with my details as soon as possible please.

If you've not sent it yet, then perhaps this sentence should be adjusted...

A double negative there.

It should be either...
Contravention reason: Stopping in a zone where stopping is prohibited
or... 
Contravention reason: Stopping in a zone where no stopping is allowed

Also ask your MP to write to Mr Gove with evidence of your case and ask what the newly named DLUHC (was MHCLG) is doing about rogue camera car operations at Airports.  It might be different if you stopped on the red route enforcement area but there are multiple known instances of this sort of unfair ticketing by this ex-clamper firm.

I hope @Fruitcake is doing the same with his evidence.  It is all about evidence and MP complaints and consumer examples of the worst practice, now that we know a new Minister under Gove may want to have a fresh look at everything.  I know I would.

Do complain to the ICO about this release and misuse of keeper data by the DVLA if/when they whitewash you.

I am helping a relative fight a stopping in a no-stopping zone at Bristol Airport charge. I have a copy of the contract between VCS and the airport operator provided by another poster that clearly shows the car was stopped outside the area where they are contracted to operate.

The DVLA whitewashed our complaint so we raised it with the ICO, but we are waiting for a caseworker to be allocated. We have complained to my relative's MP and Mr Gove, but as yet there has been no response from the latter.
