I understand the need for this covenant. They are really unsightly and are associated with low-cost housing. Can't you get cable there?
wow just wow - we have a Satellite Dish and have had since we moved here 15 years ago and trust me - we aren't low-cost

Plus Sky through cable wasn't available back then and has only become an option in the last 6 months
Time to ditch the dish and brighten the area up then.

Where did you get that attitude from?
Low cost housing doesn't come into it. According to you every house in my village with a dish must be low cost housing including the couple of £1m houses.
Cable is not, in a lot of cases, an option
Just go and look at some low cost housing in an estate. You'll quickly see what I mean.

Plus estates have rules sometimes too. My parents estate rules say they can't keep chickens and a few other random things.
The "rules" are what we're talking about.

My street where houses range from £500k to £800k has plenty of dishes, probably on the majority of houses.
Of course, maybe you regard that as low-cost.

Probably on the majority? Look down your street, then go to a street of social housing; you'll see what I mean.

houses are £700k-£2m in the streets where  round where I live, and most have satellite dishes.  Dishes are normal these days and have nothing to do with 'low cost housing'.

Having a satellite dish doesn't mean you are in low cost housing, just makes it more likely.

If it is a modern house which the covenant suggests, front elevation could be brick 102 mm thick side elevations block 215 mm thick. I see many satellite dish installers using 150 mm  coach bolts. Breaching the covenant could invalidate any NHBC warranty

I take it you can point to evidence to support that half-baked thought of yours?
