Safest thing to do is ignore all ads on Facebook.  Even if its a known brand there's the chance its a scammer pretending to be the brand.

I warned my father that a Facebook ad he had responded to was likely a scam but he thought he knew better.  Of course the item he received from China was nothing like in the advert.  He still thought he knew better and fell for it a second time!!  There's no helping some people.
To be fair I've bought a couple of things from Facebook adverts before and they were fine.

But... I did check the website, how long it had been established, look for a UK address and phone number, check the address existed, and looked for genuine reviews online! I also then paid with PayPal as a back up in case it didn't arrive or need to be returned.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

You're in a minority there.  99.9999999% of the people who click on Facebook ads do so blindly.

I've also bought from things I've seen advertised on Facebook, but they've all been known companies I've bought from before, JD Sports, Nike, Adidas etc. Also possible then to go to the actual website and find the item to check it is legit.
Not sure why but I get very very few "weird" or scammy adverts on FB.

I hide ALL ads on Facebook and mark them as ‘irrelevant’.  I usually manage to go 4 or 5 weeks without seeing any and then they try adding a few to my timeline.  Another round of hiding them and no more for another few weeks.
