@General_Grant
thank you very much for all your help and advice it’s very much appreciated. I’m currently looking for a new job before it ends up turning nasty on both sides1 -
@elsien
I totally understand what your saying and I wouldn’t be petty about chemicals and training but depending on the bosses mood depends on how I get treated that is so clear , I know two wrongs don’t make a right but she’s ever so quick to dish out that attitude yet when I ask for my payslips which I’m clearly entitled to do so she turns snotty for what reason I do not know .0 -
@phonemonkey
thank you it’s something I’m certainly going to look into , I don’t feel like I’m a carer I feel like I’m been used as skivvy not sure where the cleaner went that they had but seems to me I’m been treated like one and expected to do care for the dementia client i care for who seems to be just plonked in front of tv with his meal and it’s upsetting it never used to be like that until I started asking questions about where my wage slips where and could I have them1 -
@Brie
its not an agency I work for it’s for the family of the gentleman I care for they get direct payment from the local council so they can find there own carer , the extra hours I don’t disagree with but when I get told at interview just put any extra hours you do on time sheet with a reason why to now when I’ve pulled the boss on some issues I’ve got to I’ve got to ask permission and the hours I’ve put down extra I’ve not now been paid for because the boss says I didn’t get permission , I would of got permission if I’d of known this she just changes the rules as and when she pleases .Thank you for advice I’m certainly looking or another job i meds out from there as much as it’s going to upset me leaving the client I’ve to think I’ve my own well being and the boss is wearing me down bit by bit0 -
Gosh, what an awful situation! I don't know how you have managed to stick it out this long. I just wanted to add a bit of support and say that I think the advice to look for an NHS post sounds really good. I've worked in the NHS - in admin rather than caring - but the good thing is that all jobs are on grades and each grade in each different area has a job description as well as a person specification. So you know exactly what you are getting into before you even go for an interview. There can be some awkward people, as in any job - but nobody like the boss you have now.
And if you google something like "jobs in the health service in the uk" all kinds of information pops up. There are many opportunities out there for strong willed, caring people like you. I know I don't know you but you have managed to stick at it and that shows that you don't give up easily in difficult circumstances.
You're right though, you have to think about your own welfare now. I hope you manage to find something you like very soon! Put this job down to experience. All experience is supposed to be good for us, good and bad. It's time for you to have some good nowPlease note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. @MalMonroe
Thank you so much for your kind words and actually understanding where I’m coming from with this some days I think it’s just me over reacting and maybe it’s all just all in my head , but it’s the bosses gaslighting thats exactly how they make you feel and most of the time they do it in away that it’s not noticeable to anybody else again that’s what gaslighting people do , it’s always there word against yours I’ve no way of proving her behaviour unless i record but I’m pretty sure for Legal reasons I’ve got to tell her I’m recording which then she’s not going to behave in that manner I’ve got a few messages between us which I would use if I had too , I feel I can’t let her get away with this simply because I wouldn’t want anyone else to feel the way I feel most days . I received my p60 yesterday when are we supposed to get it end of May!? But yet she can’t issue payslips first she says she’s contacted payroll to then saying payroll haven’t got back to me to then back saying I’ve rang payroll they say she’s to contact HMRC for wage slips to her then sending me my P60 which I had to ask for , then I ask again this evening for payslips for then to say she’s gone mad at payroll for not sending them out and they have sent her all payslips from February but not August’s so I ask her to send the others and forward Augusts when she gets it to having no reply back , she’s confused me is she lying ( yes I think so ) but I’ve got all this in a msg . She has got a 1 page of contract she’s got written up with news tasks that’s expected of me to do daily but when I asked where is the rest of contract that I can look at before signing I get no reply , even if all my contract is exactly the same apart from the extra tasks I still want to see it because the way she lies there could be things added in that I’m not aware of and once I’ve signed it I’m snookered .

You don’t need to sign a contract for it to be deemed accepted. If you keep working with the new terms then after 4 weeks (I think) you are deemed to have accepted it.
You need to object in writing to the new terms.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

What you cannot do lawfully without informing them is make a recording when you are not present - so not leave a recording device to record conversations between members of the family for example.1 -
