    I’m sure someone will have already mentioned, but just in case, FENSA is not the only register for windows. I sold a few months ago and we had a mix of Fensa certs and some other scheme which provided a certificate of compliance with building regs and an insurance backed guarantee. Our Fensa docs were more than 10 yrs old and hence solicitor did not pass them to our buyer.

    Thanks Tooldle. It’s worth knowing that. Now that I know that any breach isn’t enforceable though, I’m not concerned. The windows are in good condition, apart from one blown pane, which can easily be changed. They are 14 years old but I can see them lasting years and years yet.
