Hi
We have just been told our mortgage application with Santander has been declined, 6 weeks into our house sale!
Our broker has lodged an appeal and hoping to hear back by next week
Just wondered if anyone had an success from appeals or getting another application with another lender agreed after a declined one so soon before.
Thanks

Declined because.... ???
Clearly depends on circumstances and lenders rules. Some people might succeed, others might fail.

What's the reason for your application being declined?
Was it something to do with your finances? For example, is there something in your credit record that you didn't declare?
TBH, if you were completely honest about your financial circumstances etc at the outset, your broker should have warned you that you might be declined.0 -

I wonder if this, from the end of 2019, is relevant...

(Apart from showing that we'll almost certainly not get a response, of course)0
