Moving on a secondment wage

Hi
We are looking to move in 2020. However i'm just starting a secondment role which is until Sep2020. It's good as it means a pay rise so I was hoping this would mean we could bore w more money. But I've heard mortgage companies don't take the secondment salary into account?!
We are with santander and hoping to stay with them as stuck in a fixed rate
Thanks

How long are you fixed for ?
Does it say secondment on your wage slip ?
You normally need the last three months wage slips as proof of income.
Try and clear any other debts if trying to make your credit file look good ( Bigger mortgage ! So porting existing one and borrowings more )0
