So glad it was a good service.

Thanks @beanielou.I fancied treating myself this morning so after showering I popped out and bought a sausage bagel to have with my breakfast coffee. The bagel shop isn't that far away from my home and is a constant temptation!
I'm off early to the party venue later this afternoon. We're all staying over tonight at the venue so I will have to pack my overnight case ready for when the taxi picks me up. DD came down yesterday evening and stayed with DSis last night. Her OH has stayed behind to look after the dogs - he's not really a big party person so I think it suits him. I'm really looking forward to the party as cousins will be attending that we don't see too often and it will be great to catch up.I'm popping out soon - to get some cash for taxis and to see if my last item has sold in the dress agency. I also have a couple of bits to take to the charity shop.SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
I bought my bagel, plus I will need to pay for taxis today and tomorrow. I also received £6 in loyalty vouchers in the post this morning via my M&S credit card.My heating is still off, apart from a couple of nights the other week when the temperature dropped. It's a strange time - on the one hand I don't like this unnatural November mild weather, but on the other it's a godsend to many who will struggle with fuel bills this winter. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Yes it’s very strange weather. We headed to a seaside not a million miles from here yesterday to see the illuminations and we were walking out without a coat. I’ve known it colder in summer .
I’m pleased the funeral went as well as it could.
Enjoy the party

Yep - another one here echoing the "stupidly mild" comments - although this morning's fog did make it feel a lot chiller I thought (did that extend as far across to the east as you SSG?) - we had another brief discussion about heating this morning and agreed that frankly for the past few days we'd have been too warm with it on!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I actually switched one storage heater on last night so that it would heat up overnight. I was glad I did because it was definitely a lot chillier this morning - damp outside and we got the fog too EH! I have Economy 7 heating so at least electricity is cheaper during the night. My flat is quite small and unless it is really cold outside I find the living room storage heater is sufficient and I can leave off the one in the hall. I have an electric heater in the bedroom but never turn this on as I find if I leave the bedroom door open it keeps warm and then I close the door when I go to bed as I don't like a warm bedroom when I'm sleeping as I get a blocked up nose. I do switch on the electric radiator in the bathroom during the winter months but so far I've left it off except when DD came and stayed the other weekend in order to dry the extra towels used. I leave the bathroom door open but may well turn the rad on if the weather turns very cold. I think I'll just have to keep monitoring the situation. The party was brilliant! It was a joint birthday party with DSis's good friend and colleague so there was at least one hundred guests! The venue was decorated beautifully, a really good DJ and also a soul singer, and a delicious buffet. It was so lovely to see family again that we haven't seen since before the pandemic and old friends too. 🥰
We stayed overnight at the venue and it was fun in the morning to see everyone in the dining room for breakfast.DD and I went back with DSis and family to their house for a bit then DD went off in the afternoon back up north as she had to be in the office first thing today and I went back home to slob out for the rest of the day apart from putting a load of washing on!😀
Today I've been good and gone to the gym and am going to do a few jobs around the house.I'm off to DD's on Thursday to stay with her in the North of England on Thursday, coming back next Tuesday. DSis and OH will be driving up on Friday and staying till Sunday. They are looking forward to it as they haven't been to DD's lovely little city since before the pandemic. The Christmas market opens this weekend so we are looking forward to that and also have some nice meals booked for the evening. 😀SCIMPY MSE THINGS
On Saturday I received £10 from the dress agency from the sale of my last summer item with them. I also paid out for a lottery ticket and the taxi fare to party. Today spends have been my PT, Aveeno hand cream and two bottles of mouthwash as they were on offer in Superdrug for a third off. I also bought satsumas, apples and carrots in the greengrocer.Didn't win the lottery. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Enjoy the Christmas markets at dds. We loved it there last year.

Thanks @milann. 😀
The weather here in Seasideville was pretty wet until early afternoon. It teemed all morning quite heavily. Luckily it stopped by the time I met my friend for coffee and cake in the afternoon and the sun came out. I caught up with my ironing afterwards.
I've also reading Susannah Constantine's autobiography which I'm finding a really good read. Sad in places but very entertaining in others.
Apart from watching the Bake Off final (I agreed that the right baker won!) and Martin's show, that was it really for today!SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
My turn to buy the coffee and cake today. I bought my lottery ticket for Saturday. My six monthly water bill from my second water company was emailed to me today. As from next month I'll be paying £1 per month less! Every little helps as they say!👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
