I'm alive! Thank you everyone for your messages in my absence - I can't believe it's a month since I last posted!😱
What's been happening? Well I returned back from Scotland, I've had a couple of trips to the cinema (West Side Story and Belfast - both fab), theatre trip to see Burn The Floor, some lunches and brunches with friends and the usual hair, nail appointments, birthdays, etc, etc.
Today I've not long been back from brunch with two friends and am just having another coffee updating my diary and starting to catch up with others before cleaning out under the kitchen sink and then the fridge! I've started the 31 Day clean and clear your house of clutter that I carry out periodically. I want to have it finished by the the beginning of next month as that's when I will put my current one bed flat on the market and start looking for a two bed flat to buy. As I've only started the cleaning process today I'm having to do two days in one till Wednesday to bring me up to scratch!
SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
I had a chunk of cash to pay out on my half yearly service charges for the flat - this is when I thank my lucky stars that I have YNAB and a proper budget now so that I put away a monthly amount to pay these and it's not such a jolt when payment time rears it's ugly head!My next trip to visit DD in Scotland is at the end of May so I have booked my flights through easyJet. They are not flying as much to Inverness as they were pre-pandemic and the flights at the time I want were going quickly so I've booked them.Money in news - I received my yearly uplift in my DBS pension in January which was very welcome - an extra £70 before tax.
And - £30 win of the lottery last week and £50 win on the premium bonds this month!😃👍Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks @Sun_Addict and @Sunshine_girl2!😃
SA - I'm staying in the same area - I love it here and wouldn't want to move. I have friends nearby, I'm in walking distance of nice shops, bars and restaurants, good transport links to London if needed and, of course, I'm right next to the seaside!😃⛱Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Good to hear from you….pleased everything is going well. It sounds as if you’re enjoying retirement 👍
Well done on the wins 👏👏👏 and organising your cash so that the service charges aren’t too much of a shock to the system 👍
I quite fancy seeing Belfast in particular but would happily watch Westside Story too. I only actually watched the original last year when I was banished to my bedroom when I first came out of hospital and the builders were in 😳😳January spends - £587.582 -
Hi @milann!😃
Belfast was a great film - I wondered if it would be a tad depressing but it wasn't. The little boy who was one of the main stars was a joy to watch and the whole film was very thought provoking. But West Side Story was fantastic! I'm usually not that impressed with musical remakes and the original was one of the greats. I can honestly say though that the new version was better ( for me at least) - more gritty and realistic in some parts, but the singing was fantastic and the scene where they danced and sang to 'America' was far better than the original - and that was one of my favourite musical scenes!💃🕺💃🕺Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
