Does anyone know how to apply for this package. I have looked and looked but can't even find it on the BT website.
Never mind, I found it. https://www.bt.com/exp/broadband/home-essentials"Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

jessmist said:Hi,
I can,t seem to find the finer details of the BT essential broadband.
I receive Esa so assume I would qualify.
Would I be able to have complete WiFi with the essential package. As I currently have it and really need it as I struggle for WiFi signal upstairs. I also have tv with BT as well.
Also I have another year on my current BT package. So will I still be able to switch to the new deal ?
Thanks

Thanks for the link.
But I can't find any mention of complete WiFi with the essential package.0 -
Unlikely as the Wifi add on is a top end package rather cancelling out cheapness .You would be better buying your own kit not renting from BT anyway .2

Complete wifi is a premium product so I doubt it would be included in the home-essentials package, even as an add-on.
It sort of defeats the object of a lower cost basic package if it gets all the lights, bells and whistles at a significantly lower price than everyone else pays..
BT have got to get the money to subsidise the cheaper packages from those who pay for the premium onesNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
Thanks for the replies.
Yeah I agree it would be better to purchase the WiFi disc instead of renting.0 -
There is no mention on the provided link how to get BT broadband home essential if you are not with BT...
