Afternoon all
My laptop charger gave up this morning and no charge left in the laptop so I nipped into town to PC world to get a new one, stood in the shop for 10 mins before someone came to help and then a young lad (he looked about 12) served me and told me which charger to buy, I asked him to try it in the laptop for me and he said I can assure you it will work as its an ASUS one, I insisted he try it only to find out it wouldnt fit !! He did not know which was the correct one and could not order it as he did not know which one to order, I went back out to the car and googled computer shops found one just up the road and went there, nice older chap took one look at the laptop went and got a charger and plugged in my laptop, he even took the old cable away for recycling, I shall now go to him for all computer problems 100% better service than PC world !!
Taff we have the feta and tomato thing tonight instead as we had a late lunch yesterday and did not want a big dinner, I will let you know how it is xx
Dear Gers I have been thinking of you and dear mum,I am sorry she had such an unsettled night, I hope tonight is more restful for you both, much love to you both xxx12 -
Afternoon - just popped in to say 'thanks' again. It's so lovely to have had a rubbish day but know that others are thinking about and supporting me virtually. The day has been really busy, some good times and some not so good. The bed arrived about 9.00a.m. at the same time as the emergency carers. The blokes were so efficient at putting the bed together. Then I called the district nurses who moved DM across, just as they arrived the GP turned up too. DM looks so much more comfortable now. Then Alan came to dismantle her bed whilst I zoomed out the surgery, the pharmacy, the tip, Waitrose (to collect a couple more bedsheets), Home Bargains and then back to the pharmacy for the meds. We've now taken all the bed bits down to Alan's car, it's an electric bed with sled ends, chunky slabs of wood and a huge electrical component. Then the nurse came back on her way home. The not good part was trying to get the home care referral set up and working, sometimes it was like walking through a black hole, or at least what I imagine a black hole would be like! Now I'm going to sit down for half an hour before sorting out some stuff. I'm going to prescribe myself a G&T tonight!I really appreciate all the comments about keeping DM at home, it's a difficult decision either way as we are always led to believe that hospital is best, and it is good for some people in different situations. All we can do as the children of our parents is what works for them. 💖13

Gers it must always be a really hard decision but if your DM can be comfortable at home, it will, I think, be easier for you both.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back8
