Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for the new thread. I am late to the party today but I do have a valid excuse! I got the early bus into town as I needed a few bits and bobs. I have had a painful right arm since about the end of January and it's showing no signs of improving so I wanted to get some Voltarol muscle rub to see if that helps. Fingers crossed!
I have caught up with all your news but no GERS yet this morning. I hope that isn't a sign that DM isn't so good. It's such a worry. As it is for our other Daily friends with a poorly loved one. Thinking especially of NAN and SNOOZER. I hope you find STEVE is improving when you visit SNOOZER.
I too like reading everyone's posts, whether they consider themselves boring on not. Sometimes boring is good as it means nothing untoward has been happening!
I finally made it to the end of the window cleaning yesterday! It's only taken me all week! But this blooming painful arm is my excuse. As I'm right handed it's a right farce trying to clean them with my left hand. There are jobs I could be doing today if I felt like it but I don't! So I think maybe a feet up day reading. The day started off lovely but is now going downhill fast with cloud cover taking over. I don't think rain is forecast but they can often be wrong!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. Take care one and all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all, the sun is shining but probably it will be a repeat of yesterday when we had heavy rain and hailstones in the afternoon.I slept well last night after the late phone call and we felt much better about things but very confused. He seems to be starting the roundabout all over again. Never mind he's seems more hopeful than the others and fingers crossed things may have eased by the appointment so I can see the oncologist too.Today we've received our 2nd jab letter which I was so glad to see, but not the place and time. So I'm up in the air again with the jab as we have to go into the city 7miles away, on 2 different days, at 2 different times and mine is slap bang in the middle of evening rush hour 🤬. To add insult to injury we have to pass 2 other vaccination centres on our way there. So now we have to try to rearrange and can't get through. So guess what I'll be doing all day ? Why isn't anything simple for me
My life seems to be one big helter skelter with twists and turns that would send me grey, uh-oh too late for that ! 😂
Thanks again for all your support, you really are a superb group of people, you have kept me sane(ish) more than once. I wish we could have a meet up then I could thank each one of you in person.Sending love and hugs to everyone 🥰Gers thinking of you and Mum. I shall send you a bumper bucket full of love and hugs.Snoozer I hope Steve can come home soon. I bet you're looking forward to your visit. Please give him a big virtual hug from me.Nelski 😘 Hope the painful hands are easing for you.TA thank you for your PM and your kindness.taff I loves ya !Scarlett enjoy your fish and chips but save some for me please.Sending healing vibes to all the poorly ones and hugs to their carers.Take care all, stay safe and sane... from someone who is nearly half way round the twist 🤪nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently13 -
Afternoon all - just a quick zip by to say that DM is still with us though not eating or drinking and mostly asleep. The GP has issued the 'just in case' meds and the nurse brought the lockbox round yesterday.I've been going through her paperwork to find the necessary legal documents so they are almost ready, just a couple to send to my cousin for translation as I can't read the old Gothic script. Thanks so much for all the good wishes, I send mine back to all those in difficulties. xx13

Bobbing in to send hugs to Gers & DM, thinking of you, also Snoozer's Steve,Nanny & Mr Fixit, Nelski, and anyone else with difficulties.Poppy was glad to see you posting.Nan , we had our 2nd jabs on Tuesday in a health centre a few minutes drive away,!0 minutes apart but they let us both in together- done and dusted within half an hour and that included the 15 mins we had to wait after! Sorry yours sounds awkward to manage.Lovely quilts CsarinaWatched DGSs footie this morning, they won heavily and we think he scored 7! Didnt win man of the match though
, that went to another lad who did work hard and never stopped running. I had a nice chat with his Mum,DS2s ex.She usually comes to watch too, time out I think from her other 2 littlies who stayed at home with their Dad. It felt quite warm when the sun was out and freezing when it went behind the clouds. On the way home the car went into 'limp mode'- it did it last week, the warning light went on and we went for a run to clear the filter but it came back on.Tried to ring the garage but no-one answered so it looks like we'll be in the van if we want to go anywhere this BH
Easy tea tonight as DH fancies a takeaway for a bank hol treat.Take care everyone xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -

Good afternoon, not been around for a while, bit of a limp thing after the tummy upset.
Gers sending virtual hugs and support for you and your DM.
Also thinking of Nan and her DH, Snoozer and Steve, Nelski, Dumpling and her Dsis, Poppy I hope that your pain improves soon, enjoy your gardening.
OH had his second jab on Monday and mine was yesterday, as before I got stone cold during the evening, went to bed with 3 Wheat or Cherry stone bags and the electric blankie and slept like a log.
Take care all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)12
