I bought with Purple Bricks 6 months ago and I had no issue whatsoever. There was no push from their side, negotiations was pretty reasonable and overall I was happy how it went. If you like the house and you got the budget for it don't even worry about the EA, go get what you like!
Good luck!1 -

Good luck!Thank you viewing Monday so fingers crossed.0 -
The quality of Purple Bricks service is very dependent on the individual person in your area. We have come across some very efficient ones who really know what they are doing and some who are pretty hopeless. Either way, view the property regardless.
One thing I would avoid is using their solicitors, which they offer in some packages. If the seller is using the PB solicitor then you could be in for a long drawn out buying process.
We have always used a local solicitor that you can see and visit. They often aren't a lot more expensive but can cut back on the hassle of the process.

Currently buying a flat and the vendor is using Purple Bricks, it's been a mixed bag.
Positives have been being in direct contact with our vendor, we are in pretty much daily contact keeping each other informed on what the state of play is from our respective ends. Being able to speak to them directly has removed a lot of the stress/mystery & allowed us to keep process moving when there have been hold ups from miscommunication between solicitors.
The agent who showed us around has been very helpful with allowing us repeat visits & access to the flat when needed.
The big negative, to reiterate what @Neil49 and others have said, has been our vendor also using the Purple Bricks recommended solicitors who have been very difficult for our solicitor to contact & have repeatedly returned forms/responses that are incomplete or incorrect which has really drawn the process out. I'm fairly certain if they'd chosen a different solicitor we would have had this wrapped up by now.
The other issue we had was the information the agent gave us regarding the service charge/ground rent was not even close to correct, so as with all EAs I guess, take what they say with a pinch of salt.1 -
Yes I’ve heard their solicitors are useless definitely a question to ask.0

We tried Purple Bricks, the agent we had was great and even came out on bank holiday monday to take the photos.Once we had an offer though it was a different story, the sales progression is non existent and it relied on other traditional agents to do the work. That sale fell through due to issues lower in the chain and we re-marketed and had another offer quite quickly, however this one collapsed as well again due to issues further down the chain and during this time the agent we had dealt with left and the new one wasn't as good. He tried to market it for us for a few weeks and then told us we needed to drop the price. My wife wanted to go with a high street agent so we did and they sold it for full asking price within a few days and that sale went through smoothly. We did however stay with Purple Bricks solicitors (Premier Property Lawers) and despite what others have said they were fantastic, the on-line portal was really good as it shows you want needs to be done and when things have been completed. We didn't need to chase them and all of there bits were concluded promptly.Overall I wouldn't recommend Purple Bricks but their solicitors and the on-line system they use were great and I would highly recommend them.0
