But that GSV is dated 2019 - presumably before renovation mentioned on TripAdvisor and the new P&D parking system.  I found this on their TripAdvisor reviews and it suggests the car parking system may not have existed in 2019 when the GSV van went past:

The cafe is fine, but they have introduced a new pay and display carpark, and offer a discount on the parking, but only if you take your ticket in (and therefore dont pay and display). Prices have also gone up since the renovation

Your defence points #2 and #3 will tell the Judge the facts so that's what we want to review.

YOU DO NOT PUT EVIDENCE IN YET.  Please read the NEWBIES thread to understand the stages.

Take your time, read the thread.

Would I take them to court with me then? Just trying to get my head around why another poster said it was worth going to take some

You really do need to read more of the NEWBIES thread.
In particular, look for the word evidence and witness statement.

I'm not so sure about the above 👆. We've dealt with hundreds of court cases here, but never seen this stuff before.

@Cotswoldtony - can you confirm your credentials, background and expertise to advise on defending cases in the small claims court please?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • You are not defending the case you are moving their case from their court to yours, then they need to verify the debt is true either under oath/affirmation or an affidavit sworn on a bible. If it's a company they will never step into a court and no solicitor will ever verify the debt.

This is Freeman of the Land dross, or what Mr Semark-Jullien would call the BoEVAT remedy (only, it isn't a remedy):

I hope the OP is not reading it and think it means something.  Oh dear:

    with a verified wet signature

nobody will ever verify it with a wet signature

How did Mr Semark-Jullien get on in his most recent case v Britannia Parking?  I will tell you: he lost his case and he paid the full amount because his 'defence' wasn't one.  He wanted a 'wet signature'  on an invoice - that's all he would say.  Absolutely clueless.

He also caused an issue to other people, by not having any answer at appeal stage and Judges are misreading his case as if it means something it doesn't mean.

We can't have this sort of rubbish fake 'advice' on this forum because some people might think crackpot ideas will work.
