Dongle question

Is there any reason why someone should not use a "cheap SIM such as 100Gb for £10" in a dongle for everyday laptop connection ?

no, unless it's in the T&C's
but if you use it in a mifi router or 4g router raher than a dongle you can use it for all your stuff, not just the laptop (although you can set your laptop up as a hotspot)
The benefit of a mifi unit or 4G router is that you can locate it in a better position than jammed in the side of a laptop and many of them are capable of using external antennae to improve signal strength, quality and often speed (asumming theres a signal in the first place)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
I'm using a Lebara sim in a 4g router as my main internet connection (I'm in a remote area), so I never use any off the unlimited mins/texts. 4 months in, had no problems0
