I sold a Spanish property in 2019 and gave up the Spanish Bank Account, however I still have about €3000 in a Currency Fair account. I would like some of that as cash for (hopefully) a forthcoming holiday. Does anyone know if there's an agency that does that sort of thing? Seems silly to exchange for GBP only to swap it back and lose both ways.

I don't know how to edit my post, but for the avoidance of doubt Currency Fair does not have a method for delivering cash, it's only a transfer portal. Can send the dosh to an account anywhere but not get the notes.

The loss on converting electronic Euro to electronic sterling ought to be minimal. And if you choose your debit card carefully, the cost of withdrawing the money as cash Euro from an ATM within the Euro zone would be nil.

Alternatively, you could open a multi-currency account with Fineco (UK); request a Euro debit card from them; transfer your Euro to Fineco and then withdraw with the debit card when in the Euro zone. Total cost should be zero, but it seems a lot of trouble for a very small saving.

Obtaining the actual cash euros would be relatively difficult and costly, and probably not necessary if you use the right cards on holiday.

For example, a Starling Bank account on your phone can receive the funds either as EUR or GBP, then their debit card can be used fee-free overseas. Similarly Fineco UK or Wise (formerly TransferWise).
