What about a grilled cheese sandwich? The American fried in butter kind? I like them as is and also with thinly sliced onion, very thinly sliced apple, caramelised onion chutney or very thinly sliced silverskin pickled onions 😛 all those add a touch of crunchy texture (not all at once ha ha)Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

So still being very unproductive and I have a big piece of work I need to concentrate on - going to allocate an hour to that then an hour to a piece I would rather be working on!
However I have faced my finances and its the end of my financial period (I get paid on the 20th and all DD's have been paid) and I have checked them against last time I posted and they are down slightly however I am making a promise to myself to stop using my 2 cards. I have also added on what I owe myself to saving pots. I need to learn to live within my budget!17/5/21

Hi BB50
That's very mean of the theatre given your circumstances. I honestly thought people would be more understanding of situations after the last 18 months but I'm finding in quite a lot of cases it's the opposite
Budgets are great on paper, then real life kicks in with those unexpected costs that play havoc with the neatly listed numbersI always think as long as you're aware of what you should be aiming for that's half the battle because you can at least try to keep on top of things, and even if the columns don't always add up at the end of the month hopefully they're not that far out. Much better than not having a clue as to what's available and then being really taken by surprise.
I love a gilled cheese sandwich as well. Mind you the cinnamon and raisin bagel sounds delicious and would probably winHope you day was as productive as you wanted it to be.

Thanks Tea. I do feel miles better knowing the figures and it’s that what motivates me to do the surveys etc.
Had quite a spend day yesterday with the boys - took them to the Golden Arches for lunch along with a school friend & then met a group of other school friends at a nearby park which included drinks & ice cream. I took a bottle of water each for all 3 boys but they drunk all of that plus mine! I think it’s one of best sights in the world - children playing together. Lots of football & hide seek whilst I caught up with some mum friends!Today will also be spendy and I think @jwil will feel feel my pain - school shoe shopping for both & new trainers for my big boy plus school trousers for both. I am going to an outlet mall but still won’t be cheap. Weather forecast is rubbish so hoping it will be a relatively short trip. We are going on our holidays next Saturday so will keep reminding the family of this & makes sure DH reminds me when I suggest lunch out😂
Both boys took up a new sport/hobby a few weeks ago and I needed to pay the licence fee (£18 each) plus passport photos which were £6 each. I wanted the old style booths to come back where each photo is taken individually- could have swapped them round after two 😂😂. I also need to pay their football registrations this week (£100 each) my oldest boy wanted to swap clubs but DH just said no - that’s £200 a season - no discussion on why he wanted to swap clubs 😂😂. He does love his current club & was recently voted player of the season & sleeps with the trophy next to his bed 💕
Hope anyone reading has a lovely weekend xx2 -
I definitely feel your pain! Hope it's not too crazy expensive!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Morning BB50
It's an expensive time for parents isn't it with this school uniform malarkey. We have a photo booth in our shopping centre but the way mine used to faff around when they were younger there's no way I'd have been able to use one set of photos for both of them.
When I read how much clubs are I'm glad mine were never overly interested in doing anything like that. On the other side of the coin I think it's great when children are passionate about a sport. Have a good day. x
