Fabric conditioner not draining from washing machine compartment

We have a Hotpoint BHWM29 washing machine and have found that after a wash cycle the fabric conditioner has not drained from the washing machine compartment. Can anyone suggest a solution for this issue or will we need to call someone out to take a look?
Thanks

Have you taken out the drawer and cleaned behind it?0

Yes, it was a little difficult to remove but wife has cleaned the compartment and around it. She also ran an empty cycle with white vinegar in the hope that might clear it.

Have you also cleaned all the holes in the top of the drawer compartment - where the water to wash the conditioner into the machine comes out of ? I generally get in there with an old toothbrush and give them a good scrub.

This. Although I just use a bottle cleaning brush from Poundland, which I imagine achieves the same result.

Hi, can you clarify where abouts you mean? See the attached photos. The blue plastic piece is a bit fiddly but it can be taken out.0

Really sorry to say this but that drawer is dirty, it does need a good clean.0

The drawer must come out for cleaning, check the instructions. There will be a pipe sticking up from the bottom of the drawer into a hole in the blue bit, that all needs cleaning out.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

While the blue plastic element is removable the drawer itself is affixed to the machine. It slides open in a semi circular fashion but my understanding is that it cannot be removed from the unit itself.

Ours is a completely different setup, but there's a pipe which comes up into the fabric conditioner tray which I have to clean out with a cotton bud.

I used to have a Hotpoint that looked like that. The drawer is removable but I can't quite remember how to do it as it was a couple of years ago. Have a feel around inside the machine when the drawer is open - there may be two indents inside that you press to release the drawer. Or you could try gently squeezing the outer edges of the drawer and pulling towards you (again, gently!)
Best of luck0
