Vaccine Passports

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can provide some clear guidance as all media outlets (as per usual) are misleading and over complicated, and I can't find a straight answer anywhere I've looked.
If you do not have the vaccine, travelling abroad, how would that work for countries which are part of the vaccine passport?
I'm presuming they won't prevent travel, but you can instead have a Covid test, and following a negative result be allowed to travel?

You would need to comply with the requirements of the country you intend to enter. Likewise meet the conditions of any travel operator you use.1

As we don’t have vaccine passports and it’s unclear a) if we ever will and b) how they would work/tie in with other countries arrangements, there isn’t a clear answer to give.
So if you’re planning to travel abroad you need to consider the requirements of the country you are going to, and what you will need to do on your return.
Which is likely to keep changing according to any new variants and how the different countries are perceived in terms of risk. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
I agree with elsien - you can't find a straight answer because right now there isn't a straight answer.

Latest rumour is that the NHS Covid app or the Zoe covid app may be used as they will have data .1

Yes, I've seen Grant Shapps muttering about the app.
Aside from him not always being completely in sync with government pronouncements, there also has to be a back up plan for those without a smart phone or an older phone that doesn't support the newer apps.
And also what other countries make of it - just because we are using the app doesn't mean it's what they will accept.
I try to use my smartphone as little as possible for travel documents because the battery always seems to run out at just the wrong time.

It was discussed that if you don't have a smartphone, then you can apply for a covid card. Will have all the information about your vacination dates, QR Code and also your picture.

Thanks for all the replies!
I'm a little concerned if I am honest, that those who for whatever reason at all, who don't have the vaccine will be singled out and could become second class in society.
I understand that they are doing it, these vaccine passports for the safety and control of the virus but they must have a back up, such as allowing someone to have a rapid test the day or so before travel, at their own expense if necessary, so they can travel.
For example, children who aren't vaccinated prior to the parents holidaying will be prevented from holidays, including babies etc.
It would, in my view be completely unjust and not ethical to only rely on one way and not allow another choice for those wishing for whatever reason, being they can't have it or don't want it, the vaccine.
I hope the government provide clear guidance soon, as I became more concerned this morning following hearing of the app NHS intend to use, yet no mention of what those who are not vaccinated will do.
Stay safe everyone!0 -
The requirements are varying by country, which is why there is not a clear answer.
This forum can only provide current situation to you, it cannot confirm what requirements may be in place when you actually get to going away, and everything is subject to change at short notice.💙💛 💔2 -
Doubt countries would ban children. Vaccine isn't approved anywhere for use in children yet. Will likely be all adults. So if someone decides not to have it its something they will have to consider before refusing. Their choice not to travel.1
