I'm moving into a new property soon and I am looking at ordering broadband. Who is the better provider, Now or Vodafone? I've read some good and bad stuff on both so looking to see if anyone can give me some first hand experience

Depends on the quality of your line. Nobody can advise. There are other providers, you may well just pick somebody whoever has the cheapest deal where you are, you can always move in 12/18/24 months time.1

I've been with Voda for 4 years. The first 2 1/2 years was great but I lived opposite the cabinet so I got over 80mbs and didn't have any probs. Then I moved and since then they billed me for 3 months for my old property and the new, they didn't honor their speed guarantee (discount) until I complained aggressively and speed has never been what they quoted. Now I cant access my online billing as they've deleted my account and they tell be it'll take 3-5 days to sort out. Good job my contract has just expired, I'll be leaving soon. So service is hit and miss but customer service is in India and it's appalling. Can't advise on Now as it's not available in my area.1

If you spend enough time trawling through the various threads on this forum you should become aware that unless you go for one of the more specialised providers (Zen and A&A for instance) then they are are all as good or as bad as each other.
Virtually everyone apart from Virgin uses the BT/Openreach infrastructure so all you can get is what is availabe to provide service at your premises are therefore only as good as the infrastructure. The other aspect is customer service,
If you dont have a problem then customer service becomes insignificant however if you do encounter difficulties then non of them seem to be much better than anyone else. Companies like Zen & A&A have a reputation for trying harder than most but in the end they'll still be constrainend by what the infrastructure can provide and how well they can motivate Openreach to sort out problems. In the end you pays your money and takes your choice.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers2
