Looking for a friend who talks alot(female!!). Not too bothered about which network or which phone, but bluetooth would be handy. '3' seem to be the cheapest for 750 mins, are there any 12 month free line rental deals on a 12 month contract?

    Get 2 x '3' contracts @ 500mins = 1,000 mins
CPW deal would make it £72 total cost less £22 rpoints = £50
Sell one of the phones for £40

    £10 total cost

O2 sim only contracts offer 800 mins and 2000 text messages for £40 a month. Better value than 3 as long as you don't need a phone. Also no 12 month contract, only 30 days notice needed to end contract. At work so haven't got time to provide a link, shouldn't even be doing this!

Unless you need all those texts that is a very poor deal with no phone - £500 a year and no phone!

Wouldn't this be like having 2 phone numbers? Would you use your main one and then when the main phone is qabout to run out of minutes, use the other sim card to make your calls??

Let me know if I have go the wrong idea.

darren21 I understand your point of view, let me break it down what for me was so good about the sim only deal, for high end users its a great deal with a half decent customer service

    the best o2 online (12 month contract) handset deal is 600mins 2050texts (2 X 1000 text bolt ons @ £30per month for 1000)
is £45 per month = £105per month or £1260.00 per year

    or

sim only (30 day contract) 800 mins 2000 texts @ £45 per month = £540 per year (inclusive mins include video calling)
    NEW LG8120 3G mobile - £75.00 INDEX
unlocking fee - £10.00 local shop

£625.00 for the year ! thats 50% less!!!

    so ask yourself.............

is 200 mins less tarrif a month and your *FREE* handset really worth over £600.00 and locked into contract for 12 months?

Yes... almost bargain of the century

Seriously though, do you really need to be sending 2000 texts a month (or 667 MMS) ??

Think I'll stick to my cashback deal:

(Cost of 12 month contract: £300)
    retailer cashback: £300
    Quidco cashbcak: £25
    Sold phone on eBay: £72

So They're paying me £97 to use their phone for a year :rotfl:
