Don't want to disappoint you but in all the areas you are looking at there won't be much for £100k. The odd terrace or maybe ex local authority house but not much in the way of fairly new houses.0

I can’t speak for Morley and Tingley much, but I grew up (and parents still live) pretty much on the border between outwood and Stanley. They are OK places to live - never had any problems when I was living there. But also not as nice as Sandal, etc as previously mentioned.
however now seeing your recent post with requirements and that your budget is £100k, you will struggle even in Stanley and Outwood. Probably looking at £150k+ for a 2 bed terraced house with a small yard (based on a 1 mile search from my parent post code on Rightmove).0 -
Definitely agree with the poster above that says look towards Barnsley area...WAY more bang for your buck and no areas are particularly' rough' so to speak, i.e you wouldn't get robbed or be scared to walk the streets at night anywhere
Brierley is a lovely little semi rural village on the borders of Wakefield, Barnsley and Pontefract and has some great bargains, had a quick look in that area for you, and for example: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/106341077 I have family there who moved from London and adore it!

hi URALMAID
I don`t mind an ex council house , as long as i can get a 2 bed house with a decent sized garden for the dog..... The only other option is to buy a Mobile home have seen them advertised for about £80K or so
I will also look at South Wakefield

Some of the villages between Barnsley and Sheffield can be nice too if you were willing to look further south - Elsecar and the surrounding area spring to mind!
Castleford can be rough from my experience, I don't think I'd want to live there.Make £2025 in 2025 total £241.75/£20250 -
hi Moonchild91 I think Barnsley and Sheffield are too far south for me.... I would like to be on the East side of the country if possible....
But will look into it though0 -
