British Airways eVoucher

Received an eVoucher last year against flights and seat reservations, but when attempting to use said voucher to book new flights and seat, we've now been told we can't use eVoucher against seats.
As we are wanting to use a voucher against identical services to which to was issued, is this lawful?

You will find some FAQs regarding evouchers here

Was your flight cancelled or did it operate and the eVoucher was given as a goodwill option when the flights were not cancelled?0 -
Not a response to the OP, but we had BA eVouchers last year due to Covid flight cancellations.
We were happy to accept them and were able to use them online with no problems (ironically for flights that BA has since cancelled, and for which we now have new eVouchers). However, we used them during one of their sales, for which we had to enter a discount code, only to be told that codes cannot be used when purchasing flights with eVouchers.
This seems unfair, as we could have opted for a cash refund instead of a voucher, and we would then have been able to take advantage of the discount code.0 -
We had a similar issue, a complaint got the seat booking refunded0
