Good wireless headphones compatible with an Ipad?

Hi all, it's coming up to my daughters 17th birthday soon and she's requested some headphones. Now she plays video games on her ipads and listens to music as she drawers. She also plays her switch and would want it to all be compatible if possible.

Are there any decent over ear heaphones (wireless) compatible with an ipad, switch and phone?

Depends on your budget but these headphones repeatedly top the reviews and recommendations and will work with all the devices you mention. They include a microphone so can be used for interactive game play / calls etc.

I hate to say it but a 17year old is headed for Apple Airpods territory.

They are probably overpriced but the sound is excellent, they can be worn anywhere and work well with iPads and iPhones as well as other Bluetooth devices like the Switch.

I don't think my 21 year old has removed them from his ears for 3 years!

TBH the Sony headphones are total overkill for playing video games and even normal pop music. As chrisw says, to be fashionable, then airpods would fit the bill even though they are overpriced for what they are and they aren't over the ear.

For general listening I've got a pair of £24.99 noise cancelling bluetooth headphone from 7day shop which work with everything I've tried them with. the noise cancelling is adequate rather than spectacular but if you are playing games and hammering your ears with pop music then noise cancelling is possibly the least of her requirements.

Most bluetooth headphones would do the job - have a shufti here and determine what you want - https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/headphones/best-noise-cancelling-headphones. the Lindy ones get very good reviews but they arent as stylish as some others, so in the end it's down to style and budget.

Get her airpods. She is 17 only once and will be disappointed with anything else :-1:

TBH theres is no "reasonable" price for anything Apple, there aren't many (if any) places that sell Apple stuff at a discount thats why I've avoided them.

This looks to be the going rate but there are plenty of in-ear headphones that look similar and do a similar job for a lot less https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=apple+airpod&adgrpid=53459201512&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyZmEBhCpARIsALIzmnI5xoBGm-2T3w7E6S8NPgrH3szYe_84g3d60YZR09h7DyVN7JyVrEwaAjV9EALw_wcB&hvadid=259133838151&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9050369&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14021460853809879978&hvtargid=kwd-323974506634&hydadcr=25285_1817884&tag=googhydr-21&ref=pd_sl_asdgyzb4d_e

If you want over the ear headphones then the sky can be the limit

  • I know they are expensive but IMO AirPods Pro are brilliant when paired with an iPhone or iPad. Worth every penny at @£194
They have features which are valuable to me.

I think any bluetooth headphone will do the job?

    What is your budget?

Yes, any bluethooth headphone will work. Just choose one based on your budget. Wireless headphones have internal batteries so need to be charged from time to time.

Any Bluetooth headphones will work with all three so the rest comes down to budget and priority.

The A word is fairly expensive on certain scales but chump change on others. The top end Apple headphones max out at £550 whereas plenty of brands go into 4 figures yet others into 6
