Contact ending with NOW broadband

I haven't received an email yet but I believe my contract (12 months at £18) is ending 2 June as this is the date it went live. Or does it end 1 June?

When can I start looking for new providers in order to avoid the early cancellation charge? Would I need to instruct new provider to start on 2 June or later?

Telephony contracts end on the day they say they do.  There is no penalty free switching window like you see in energy.

That being said, early exit fees are normally pro-rated to the end of the deal and the closer you get to this, the more likely it will be that this dwindles to a few pounds.  But check T&Cs just to make sure.

If you decide to switch it takes on average 17-21 days.  You can't say move me on June 2nd, you'd have to try and aim for that date.  If you miss and it happens on, say, June 5th, you'd still move but pay Now for 3 days worth.  They may have taken another month's payment by that point but you'd get a credit refund for the unused portion of the month in due course.
