Average cost to get house painted?

Thanks, yeah I met a decorator yesterday and they said between £150 to £200 a day.
But going by that, then painting the front of one of these houses they'd only charge about £300. Which seems much lower than I thought.
I wouldn't personally want to do it for less than £300 , but if they can get a professional for the same price it's not worth it. I do feel I did it to a professional standard
I have all the tools I need to do it0 -
A professional will know all the tricks of the trade regarding the quickest way to do the job so will probably be much faster than you would be, at least initially. They may also be able to obtain materials more cheaply than a DIYer. With a bit of luck some of your neighbours may ask if you can do their properties so you may still be able to generate a bit of income.

There's also the case of insurance should you accidentally damage anything and public liability insurance.
To cover both you injuring yourself or damaging someone else's property.
You could end up worse off than just short of money. Stuff happens.
They say the jobs not right, the colours not right, it peals because of something else on the walls. I've worked with furniture and you wouldn't believe how nasty nice people turn when something doesn't look like they had in mind.
Nice job you did on yours though.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I might not be that pleased with the colour if I were living opposite you though. It might not be my colour choice but it looks a lot better than peeling paintwork. The whole idea of painting up the frontages of rows of terraced houses seems to be catching on.
The above is IMHO just an eyesore. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -

I think it was based on the Swastika being an Indian peace symbol.0

Yeah pastel colours are a bit safer. Bristol has many colourful streets, which I like. But the above photo I dont really like. I do think the orange and teal/blue work well together, but the ones either side don't work. You have to really co-ordinate with the neighbours or could get it really wrongI am considering toning my orange down a bit, it would only take me a couple of hours to do a new shade of orange, one coat would probably do it. But the neighbours seem to love it1
