Hargreaves charges

hi,
I've opened a shares account at Hargreaves but I was shocked at all the charges...
First they charge a fee to buy the stock. Then they charge a currency conversion fee, and some other fees too.
I'm down 200 pound just after buying the stock.
is there a cheaper broker out there?
I'm used to using trading212 and it's much cheaper imo so looking for a similar low cost broker. Is Deigro any better / cheaper?

They are primarily a funds platform and a place for mainstream investments.

You opened an account and later were shocked by the charges ? Didn't you read about the charging structure before you opened the account ?Presumably the £200 is not just charges. Has the price of whatever you bought fallen too ? You have an unusual approach to investing which sadly may turn-out to be an expensive learning curve.7

Considering that HL charges 1% for Fx, if you buy £20000 worth of shares, only foreign exchange costs you £200.
