Here's a chart of our electricity imports since our solar was installed (marked with the red line on 21 June)

Here's a chart of yesterday, you can see our only significant imports were when making dinner which exceeded the amount the batteries could provide.

    Solar install June 2022, Bath
    4.8 kW array, Growatt SPH5000 inverter, 1x Seplos Mason 280L V3 battery 15.2 kWh.
SSW roof. ~22° pitch, BISF house. 12 x 400W Hyundai panels

    The results for June:

    Generated 946.5 kWh
    Imported 3.2 kWh
    Consumed 250.7 kWh
    Exported 644.4 kWh
    System losses 54.6 kWh
    Gas 30.8 kWh
Second month with no battery charging from grid, so import was just to cover the very rare usage over 5.5kW and inverter reaction to changing load/generation.
Gas just for boosting hot water or when electricity export rates were high. The rest of the hot water was from immersion (85.9 kWh)
Agile Outgoing Octopus income from export £117 (avg 18.16p/kWh). Cost of import £0.96 (avg 30p/kWh).
    6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Buckinghamshire.

Mine for the same period (more or less):
    June-import
You can see the dull days where I didn't have enough solar generation to fill my batteries, and so bought off-peak power from the grid instead.

For June our lowest import ever @22 kWh's with a lowest week of 1.667 kWh's and lowest day 0.176 kWh.
Doubt we shall better that this year.
Oh, we're totally electric too, so no crafty generation from Wood burners or GCH. :)

June : Another month well above PVGIS.. every month so far this year is.

Below 5 kWh total import for the month.. People all have an opinions but I really like having batteries

    328 kWh Total used
4.24  kWh imported as stated previously I will never get to zero even if in theory I should because of response times from the inverter
    566  kWh generated
218  kWh exported (same as last month)
    0.85 kWh Highest daily import
    0.009 kWh Lowest daily import

    63% of generation used...

    PVGIS 509
    Best day 27.74 kWh
    Worse day 6.1  kWh

    Gas usage .. 1.1 m3

I have even run my AC on occasion....

    Sunnyboy 4000TL inverter
    Sunny Webox
Solar Immersion installed May 2013, after two Solar Immersion lasting just over the guarantee period replaced with Solic 200... no problems since.

Here's my monthly stats, this is whilst still on SVT, I'm now on Agile.

Gas usage was 15.81 m3 as its used to heat water on demand via my combi.

My batteries are back in business. This has cut the daily grid import (summer) from 6 ish 1 kWh. That is £1.5 in current prices saved per day with batteries.

Opposite for me, lost all generation, it'll be interesting how much it goes up by if nothing else.

Have to wait until next week for an engineer and you can bet he doesn't bring a spare inverter so even more delays.

Sods law that I'm missing out on some of the best potential.

Here's how our electricity imports have changed since the PV and batts were installed on 21 June (highlighted):-

We've gone from importing 320 kWh in in our last full month without PV (May) to 19 kWh from 1 - 15 July, so on average cut our daily import from 10.3 to 1.3 kWh.
I quite enjoy looking at my import .. negligible in the summer.. yes the ROI on batteries and solar not short term..
but max import 0.35 kWh mid June to now!
