  • This is turning out to be quite the year!  Already at 114% of PVGIS!

Hi would you  mind putting the annual generation so far as a figure, the graph looks very impressive and I have a similar size system in the SE.
Mine as of today is 4054 kWh
    TIA
    3.995kWP SSW facing. Commissioned 7 July 2011. 24 degree pitch (£3.36 /W).
    17 Yingli 235 panels
    Sunnyboy 4000TL inverter
    Sunny Webox
Solar Immersion installed May 2013, after two Solar Immersion lasting just over the guarantee period replaced with Solic 200... no problems since.

13 Feb 2020 LUX AC 3600 and 3 X Pylon Tech 3.5 kW batteries added...

20 January 2024 Daikin ASHP installed

    Sure can...  4451.64 kWh
SMA site calculates annual yield prediction at 3558.56 kWh, not sure where they got that figure from, installers I guess.  PVGIS, with the details I inputted gives an annual yield prediction of 3892 kWh, which is the one I compare against.

Safe to say, my system far outperforms any predictions so I'm more than happy...

4 Kwp System, South Facing, 35 Degree Pitch, 16 x 250W Solarworld Panels, SMA Sunnyboy 3600 Inverter, Installed 02/09/14 in Sunny South Bedford - £5600
Growatt AC Coupled SPA3000tl and 6.5kWh battery Installed Apr 2022

    Thanks

Interesting my system generates an annual amount that is very close to PVGIS 3875 kWh as opposed to yours of 3892.  I think I typed my expected generation to match PVGIS...

Did you have an issue in 2018.. no blip like that on my system

    Want to see something painful?

We had a loft conversion done in 2018.  We had a 'tin hat' covering our entire roof for the best months of the year.  I've always been obsessed with the panels from the moment they were installed, I shed a tear every time I walked out the door.

October was a rubbish month for me
As the sun sinks, we have significant shading and the 12 panels which are ENE have fallen off big time.
    Solar Production - 273 KWh
    Grid Import - 212 KWh
    Grid Export - 15 KWh
    Home Consumption - 477 KWh

PS: I have solar iBoost which gets added to the home consumption, 94% solar self consumption  :)

“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu

    System 1 - 14 x 250W SunModule SW + Enphase ME215 microinverters (July 2015)
    System 2 - 9.2 KWp + Enphase IQ7+ and IQ8AC (Feb 22 & Sep 24) + Givenergy AC Coupled inverter + 2 * 8.2KWh Battery (May 2022) + Mitsubishi 7.1 KW and 2* Daikin 2.5 KW A2A Heat Pump
  • October was pretty great for me

    PV Generation - 364.8 kWh
    Grid Import - 110.2 kWh
    Grid Export - 19.3 kWh
    Home Consumption - 426.5 kWh
    Battery in - 166.3 kWh
    Battery out - 149.3 kWh (~90% efficiency)

For reference, last year we imported 281 kWh without a battery, but we 'only' generated 287.8 kWh so that would also account for some of the significantly less grid import this year.

Beat us, best month July 11.39 kWh's. And that might have been because we were away for two weeks of it!

    History for 2021 here.
    History for 2022:
    • January 2022 - 219kWh imported, 84kWh generated, 17kWh exported.
    • February - 169kWh imported, 142kWh generated, 51kWh exported.
    • March - 146kWh imported, 246kWh generated, 99kWh exported.
    • April - 132kWh imported, 300kWh generated, 179kWh exported.
    • May - 106kWh imported, 335kWh generated, 171kWh exported.
    • June - 40kWh imported, 338kWh generated, 114kWh exported.
    • July - 50kWh imported, 341kWh generated, 100kWh exported.
    • August - 48kWh imported, 322kWh generated, 183kWh exported.
    • September - 108kWh imported, 217kWh generated, 42kWh exported.
    • October - 110kWh imported, 207kWh generated , 45kWh exported.
Hello all, sorry for my absence from the forum these past weeks (er, months), life keeps getting in the way.
I thought I should update this thread with the rest of 2022, plus the start of 2023.
    • November - 128kWh imported, 105kWh generated, 22kWh exported.
    • December - 244kWh imported, 63kWh generated, 14kWh exported.
    Then, for 2023:
    • January - 262kWh imported, 95kWh generated, 37kWh exported.
My generation for November matched PVGIS, december was low but January beat it.
My import and export numbers for January are a little disappointing; I think I've become complacent about using off-peak electricity to charge my batteries and heat water, when I should be paying a bit more attention to the weather forecast and reducing my overnight useage to make room in my system for more daylight energy.
