    History for 2021 here.
    History for 2022:
    • January 2022 - 219kWh imported, 84kWh generated, 17kWh exported.
    • February - 169kWh imported, 142kWh generated, 51kWh exported.
    • March - 146kWh imported, 246kWh generated, 99kWh exported.
    • April - 132kWh imported, 300kWh generated, 179kWh exported.
    • May - 106kWh imported, 335kWh generated, 171kWh exported.
    • June - 40kWh imported, 338kWh generated, 114kWh exported.
    • July - 50kWh imported, 341kWh generated, 100kWh exported.
    • August - 48kWh imported, 322kWh generated, 183kWh exported.
And so to September, when the run of PVGIS-beating months sadly ended.
    • September - 108kWh imported, 217kWh generated (79.8 O's, 93% of PVGIS), 42kWh exported (39% of generation).
I'm pleased by the lower export %age. Compared to earlier in the year (March or April), or last September, the bigger battery looks to be working well.
Import is 3.6kWh/day, but again we were away for a third of the month. The vast majority - almost 90% - of the import was off-peak with Go.
Self-consumption of 175kWh (5.8kWh/day) seems quite satisfactory too.
Compared to last year I've imported 33kWh more and have generated 21kWh less.
My latest Octopus Go statement shows September-ish consumption of ~85kWh off-peak and ~11kWh peak, for an average price of 6.2p/kWh. That will change significantly next month when 5p/15p Go ends and 7.5p/40p Go begins!

  • Same as @QrizB first month of the year that did not reach PVGIS, 10 kWh below expected.

Another relatively high import for me this month due to having visitors for a week so the home occupation numbers trebled.
    Overall no unexpected changes.

@Coastalwatch Hope the inverter is fixed.
@ispookie666 Thanks for asking, afraid we are still waiting, but, following another enquiry with them earlier today, we learned a replacement Inverter was delivered to the installers warehouse this morning. Likely to be another week or so before it gets installed. Fortunately, it looks like the storage batteries will ensure we consume most energy on night rate, so a minor unexpected benefit of their purchase. Hope yours are performing better now!
Apologies @mickeyduck55 for veering off topic. :(

    Another month above PVGIS..

Its that time of year when my import rises like everyone else who relies on solar, fortunately almost entirely imported from Octopus in the Go faster window at cheap rate.

    333 kWh Total used
    109  kWh imported
    294  kWh generated
    40   kWh exported
    10.5  kWh Highest daily import
    0.1 kWh Lowest daily import...

87 % of generation used... surprised I am still exporting.

    PVGIS 239
    Best day 16.2 kWh
    Worse day 3.6  kWh

    Gas usage .. 2.9 m3

At year end will put an annual summary.. maybe even a chart or two ;)

    Figures for October:
    • Generated 426 kWh (average 2.15 O's/day and 129% of PVGIS)
    • Imported 58 kWh (£6.20 at 11p/kWh)
    • Exported 194 kWh ( £26.65 at average rate of 13.7p/kWh)
    • Consumed 240 kWh
    • Gas consumption 142 kWh
Battery helping to keep import costs low.
    6.4kWp (16 * 400Wp REC Alpha) facing ESE + 5kW Huawei inverter + 10kWh Huawei battery. Buckinghamshire.
  • This is turning out to be quite the year!  Already at 114% of PVGIS!

    • August - 48kWh imported, 322kWh generated, 183kWh exported.
    • September - 108kWh imported, 217kWh generated, 42kWh exported.
After a slightly disappointing September, October hit one for - well, not quite for six, but for four (4.56 O's on the 10th of October).
    • October - 110kWh imported, 207kWh generated (76.3 O's, 130% of PVGIS), 45kWh exported (39% of generation yr-on-yr).
I'm still shocked to have generated over 200kWh in October. PVGIS forecasts 159kWh for my array and I usually underperform in the winter period due to a relatively high local horizon (buildings and trees). Beating it by 30% is a huge result and not one I expect to repeat any time soon.
Import is 3.5kWh/day, 95% of which was off-peak with Go. At the start of the month I was using Go to heat water but as the month progressed and Tracker gas prices fell, I left water heating duty to my gas boiler and electricity import dropped off.
Self-consumption of 162kWh (5.2kWh/day) means average daily electricity consumption during October was less than in September - due again to increased gas use that I'm not currently recording in this thread.
Compared to last October I've imported 20kWh less and have generated 37kWh more.
My latest Octopus Go statement shows October-ish consumption of ~103kWh off-peak and ~5kWh peak, for an average price of 8.9p/kWh. I'm quite happy with that given I'm currently on the 7.5p/40p tariff.
