Ok, was due to start a new job last year, this was postponed due to lockdown. Was offered the position again, starting on the 1st May 2021.Because I'm already working I'd asked because of the new Covid variants if the job would be secure, the owner assured me if there was to be another lockdown I'd be placed on furlough, and the current furlough as far as Im aware is due to finish September 2021.I'm guessing my question is - If I take this new job and we/the UK enter into lockdown again e.g after one months employment will I be eligible for Furlough as suggested by this employer0

Based on the current criteria you wouldn't be eligible for furlough. Are you in a position with enough savings to sustain if we were to go back into lockdown? I started a new job at the start of Dec, we went into another lockdown and due to the criteria was not eligible for furlough (you had to be on payroll by 30th Oct). I haven't had a penny since. Luckily the job I took was only a part time position for some extra income and I've been able to keep myself afloat with self employed income but others haven't been so lucky. Tread carefully.Debt Free as of December 2020 👏

Money wise, no Although I am in a fairly secure job unaffected by the lockdown.....Just want to make sure my facts are in order as the employer is fairly adamant he can do this and I have my doubts - Apart from that the job offer is slightly better, nearer to home, less travel etc and in all open hosesty, just the prospect of another lockdown because of the new variants...Im not sure I'd want to take the gamble
For periods ending on or before 30 April 2021, you can claim for employees who were employed on 30 October 2020, as long as you have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC between 20 March 2020 and 30 October 2020, notifying a payment of earnings for that employee. You do not need to have previously claimed for an employee before the 30 October 2020 to claim for periods from 1 November 2020.
For periods starting on or after 1 May 2021, you can claim for employees who were employed on 2 March 2021, as long as you have made a PAYE Real Time Information (RTI) submission to HMRC between 20 March 2020 and 2 March 2021, notifying a payment of earnings for that employee. You do not need to have previously claimed for an employee before the 2 March 2021 to claim for periods from starting on or after 1 May 2021.
You can claim for employees on any type of employment contract, including full-time, part-time, agency, flexible or zero-hour contracts. Foreign nationals are eligible to be furloughed. Grants under the scheme are not counted as ‘access to public funds’, and you can furlough employees on all categories of visa.

Otherwise, I'm a user of 1 room in a "normal" house. I'm not on the Council tax bill for my self, but- after the incident that leads me into this discussion- Quitting PARTICULAR CUSTOMER in my self-employment in 19/20, and staying without Undies- sorry for spamming, I really want to know who was able to save it self by passing on SEISS after 30.10? I hardly see anyone alive, and who did not die from hunger, is rejected 4th SEISS. Here comes the question and a really unusual explanation, of it. Is that what happens in Norden Irland, you report your self on SEISS after 30.10.2020 and the new lockdown, you were receiving any income- ever since?
I kick my self off furlong, as was stealing my social rights, I have really many difficulties to use public transport to find any job, last I did is in Government building Office Clean, and been paid 5.7 p/h. I will receive 200-pound tax they own me after I found next employment!-4
