Replacing Alloys on PCP Car

Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
A year ago I burst my tyre and couldn't find the locking wheel nut key for my alloys, garage hacked off all 4 of my alloys and replaced them with standard wheel trims.

However, my car is on PCP and is due to be handed back (or paid for in full next year). If I wish to hand it back I'm going to have to replace the alloys aren't I? Or face a hefty charge.

Does anyone have an idea....roughly of how much it would cost to replace alloy wheels? For info it's a Corsa Sri V-Line Ecoflex. I've tried looking online but I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for.

Why on earth did they do that?

Why didn't they just use locking wheelnut removers...?

Or buy the car from the financier.

You know what the alloys on it from new looked like, right?

So search eBay and online breakers until you find a set. People like fitting aftermarket rims to Corsas, as well as writing them off, so it shouldn't be hard.

    3yr PCP? So 2018 car?

    2018 Corsa SRi VX-Line.

Some cars seem to have them in black, some silver.

The style appears to be called "Hurricane".

Extremely unlikely. Hacking the wheel wouldn't remove it, it's the nuts that would need to be hacked. Any decent garage could get them off. Why would they do all 4 wheels? It doesn't add up.

I suspect the OP is thinking of buying a cheap set of steel wheels to return the car and keeping the alloys or flogging them on a second hand site.

Oops, when I read "4x" I immediately thought it was the complete set

Lol.  Yeah i'd to do a couple of double takes myself with the way the title reads.

Those will likely end up going for several hundred pounds.

The local tyre fitters did her no favours at all when they butchered off those wheel nuts and destroyed the original alloys. :(

  • What exactly did they do?  Did they damage the alloys while removing them.  Did they give you the alloys?  Or did they 'take care of their disposal'?  It sounds like theft to me!

4x100 is the wheel bolt pattern, the PCD - pitch circle diameter.

    4 bolts, 100mm diameter.

I suspect that what has actually happened is that the garage has "hacked off" all of the locking wheel nuts (or bolts) and replaced them with non-locking ones and it's nothing to do with wheels at all.
