It is brilliant. I bought one to replace my old Humax 8000T.
Both have been rock-solid, easy to use and seem high quality. My only qualm with the 9200 is the remote, it's huge and plasticky, the old one was nice metal. And it doesn't control the TV too.
It's still the best freeview recorder around though.0 -
I have heard so many good things about this unit but am holding off until dvd recording is added to it as I would like to copy stuff and watch on another dvd player. As far as I am aware nobody has yet come up with a HD, freeview twin tuner, dvd recorder yet. Maybe it is not possible technically yet?0

I decided NOT to wait for the perfect all-in-one box. DVD standards are changing all the time and HD is just around the corner. And nowadays standalone DVD recorders are under £100 (though I have not yet found one I like). When just one part of an all-in-one goes wrong (or becomes obsolete) it junks the whole item.0

The 9200T has a USB port. You can transfer the files to your PC and burn DVDs from there if you like.0 -
Thanks, gone for one.
I like the feature that allows you to record 2 channels and watch a third, and also the series link (after next months update).
Now time to flog my old Thomson DHD400!0 -

Why don't PVRs have DVD burners?

Hi,You can attach a usb cable and download the files to a computer then burn to DVD if you want
I buy alot of gadgets and never used one as much as the humxa 9000T. If mine broke down i would buy one again even at £220 the next day.
Not watched and advert or screen titles for 18months.
Hope this helps0 -
My Dad's thinking of getting one of these (he's heard me rave about ours which I absolutely love). Before he does though he wants to know if it possible to get a top-up active card and if so what extra channels he would get. I've had a look and even the top-up active site is pants for providing useful info on channels. Could anyone on here advise please?0

All I know is that there is an empty module socket under a flip-up cover that is meant to take a subscription card reader (not supplied), in the Humax 9200T0
