Have tried this product for 5 days now it's a stonker. The price via the link cannot be found thru Humax's website front door so it deserves a mention here.

Foe more info see this thread and look for posts about the Humax 9200T:
How Woby_Tide found this I don't know. Same price as a decent VCR was a few years ago, but can do circus tricks a VCR could not.

Great deal.
I bought mine from Comet last month for £150 and love it so much I bought another the following week!
Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.0 -

Does this model support the Season Pass type functionality? I'm looking to replace my ageing Tivo with something a bit more modern.0

Yes and No.:DDoes this model support the Season Pass type functionality? I'm looking to replace my ageing Tivo with something a bit more modern.
This model was reviewed on The Gadget Show a few weeks ago and came out on top. Their only criticism, which is only until you get used to it and that I agree with, is that some of its functions are not intuitive. They did show some series link functionality on the show, yet when I tried to check this on my parent's box, there still didn't seem to be anything there.
I have just looked further and the series link has only recently been released. If coming direct from Humax, the box may have the latest software/firmware installed, but if not, you may have to wait until Janaury for an over-the-air update to enable this. However, if you have a serial cable and PC with serial port, you can download the update and apply it via your PC now.0 -
Great, thanks. Think I may be ordering one....0

Just a note of caution about this deal, the stock is Grade A (refurb?), not new.0

Yup true but it comes packaged & looking like new. It the MSE spirit why pay for brand new when you can get the same result or better for less CASH! Bearing in mind the 1 yr return to manufacturer guarantee.0

I'm not dissing refurbs, I buy the odd refurb myself.
I was just making the point as it it wasn't mentioned in the thread and some people might think get the idea it was new stock.0 -
..and you can record 2 channels at the same time?0
