Found this gem of a product. 'WisdomTree' Soyabean oil. Yes, that's literally it. Load up on Soyabean oil fresh from the fabled Wisdom tree, get rich and buy that fleet of lambo's.

Seriously, what's the point?

Risk rated 7 for those amazingly returns.....Not.

It's certainly niche and unusual but it is an asset with a value.  This is potentially more than can be said for many crypto investments out there

I believe this one is based on the future potential/expectation that more will move away from animal fats and look at potentially healthier options.

It's a liquid market and no different from other agricultural commodity futures e.g. oats, sugar, coffee, cocoa:

That's probably great for a hedge that can buy it all up and drive the prices up.

Would you put Soyabean oil in your pension, though?

Why not? People often tinker in markets where they have personal industry knowledge and experience.  I suspect you know very little about the companies you invest in. You are reliant on others deciding what a fair price is for a stock.

Several dozen countries are producers  and it is widely used around the world.  The main producers are Brazil the USA and China.

No doubt those who know the market are well placed to make serious money from the product.

Not going to google it, but hasn't it had negative press recently as being environmentally unfriendly?
