    Which means if you move in with them then you won't receive any help with the rent. You will also not have any entitlement to UC because your earnings will reduce it to zero.

    Also moving in with them could affect any benefits they may already be claiming.
  • If your wife is unable to work is she in receipt of any disability benefits? If not, you should check what she’s entitled to.

    If she’s not disabled or in full-time education then the state expects that she seeks work or that you support her. It’s not clear from your posts why she’s not going to work, could you perhaps fill in some more details?
