Hi
Please can I have some advice
I have been using Samsung androids for nearly 15years
Due to ease of use
But these last 3years I've had nothing but problems
Something is going on
1phone brand new i bought within 6 months the phone stopped charging screen went black
It had a phone case back and front and a screen protector
Sent it to Samsung
They said cant repair water damage

I was angry and said noway
It never has got in water impossible
But they wouldn't repair
I told them ive been given a faulty phone its nothing else

I dont have anyone who would chuck it in water at home either
It us always with me.

Another member of my family has had another Samsung android
Doesnt charge screen gone black
Sent it back
Samsung said water damage

Took it to a repair shop they said the screen needs replacing.. hmmmmmm
Paid and was working again

Another Samsung in my house has started having charging problems
Sent it back water damage again

Samsung are lying
It has become an automated excuse not to repair

I also questioned their designing the casing
With so much phone case protection how does water or moisture get in
If you have made the phone properly

How can i expose their scam
Can trading standards or ombudsman help?

The usual place moisture will enter is the charging port. Most covers don't protect these!

Water damage Samsung will have looked at the water indicators inside the phone .These change colour on moisture .
Condensation could be a source particularly in winter .

Scam complain to police/ Action Fraud .

(Can trading standards or ombudsman help?)
You are free to complain to TS but they will do nothing .
Ombudsman  ??? no phone hardware .

Complain to Samsung  South Korea .

I still have samsung phones in working order from 2004 2006 2009 2013
They have gone through alot like dropping but still good to use
Either they are building these phones not to last
I have never prior to last 3yrs had any phone problems.

And i cant even say ive put my charging port near water.. my phone is always away from liquids
    The problem is there..
How is water damage/moisture getting in.?

To me it feels like old phones are too costly to repair so Samsung say water damage
Some kind of scam is going on

You are free to use your Consumer Rights  that is the law not Samsung Warranty.
CR is against the vendor not Samsung .

If you have water damage in your phone there is nothing you can do. I would recommend insurance in the future.
