    The replacement Yaris has done 4 years of similar trips and no adverse effects whatsoever.

    I'm not aware of many parents who walk their children 6 miles to school to walk 6 miles back to then use the car to go to work.

    I didn't say he should buy a 200bhp car instead, I said it was ironic that a car with much more power isn't significantly worse on fuel the 1.0Tsi was, because the 1.0Tsi has to be worked quite hard.
    I didn't think that was hard to follow or miscomprehend.
    My Polo was around 1200kgs and 95bhp, the Alteca is 1300kgs and 115bhp, so broadly similar power-to-weight and, of course, the Alteca will be worse aerodynamically.
