I can remember when I was at school 200 years ago, the lads used to buy uncut loaves at lunchtime, hollow them out and fill them with crisps - the ultimate crisp sandwich 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Today we went to a different local beach we haven’t been to before. Really lovely, but I swear I almost died climbing back up the dune to get to the path to the car park. Walking on soft sand is hard work so my muscles were not ready for a climb at the end of it! I was beetroot faced, panting and wobbly at the top 🤭 I’ve managed over 10k steps 3 days running and 4 out of 5 days now. 8 or 9 hours at a desk clearly gets in the way of my step targets 😒. I’m hoping for a lunch out tomorrow as we had a spend free day today. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Well done on all the walking, great to be visiting different beaches too!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Got beach envy here 👍
I thought you’d been running 3 days - rather than …..3 days running 😂😂😂
Well done on the exercise….you’ll be running before you know it 😉👍January spends - £587.582 -
🤣🤣🤣 @milann if I’d tried running for 3 minutes I would be hospitalised 😅
Today we had lunch and then a trip to the local castle gift shop. The place was heaving! MrWW bought me a raspberry soap (smells delicious), a tiny pack of fizzy cola bottles and a pen….we know how to roll on our holidays 😁 Unfortunately it started to rain so I didn’t get the beach steps I’d hoped for.I hope you have all had a good day ☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Sounds like you’re having a lovely week off exploring your local area. You’re very lucky to be near some lovely beaches.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Good morning and happy Thursday. I overspent last night by ordering all the pet food for next month as it was in stock and an ok price. Over £200, but I have ‘borrowed’ it from savings and will pay it straight back on pay day. It seemed sensible last night, but then I was stressing about the extra drop in savings. I have compounded a bad month by being extra bad 🙄 It’s all real money, not ‘borrowed’ money, but I worry more about emergencies that haven’t happened when the savings go down 😬🙄. Next month I will do better.Today is rather wet and overcast, but we’ll go out a bit later (get my steps up) and have lunch out.
I hope you all have a good day 🌞Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Saturday. We didn’t get the sunshine today, it’s been mostly grey and a bit muggy with rain thrown in. We went to the big town and did the food shop in big t*sco and farmf00ds. I stocked up on filled potato skins which I find really good for work lunches. Quite low calories for a couple and very easily microwaved in a hurry. We saved money by bringing the spoils home and making a nice lunch instead of eating out. I had a cheese and diced red onion panini with a few air fried fries 😋.I’m sad that tomorrow is my last day off work as I’ve had a lovely week with lots of walking and fresh air. I’m hoping not to spend anything over the minimum until payday in a week and a half. As you know, this month was terrible at the beginning and I will need to recoup my losses next month and be extremely good. I have written up my June budget and (touches wood…smack, smack, smack) should be back on track at the end of next month, barring disasters.
I am still waiting for my dungarees to arrive…the tracking hasn’t moved since the early hours of Monday 😞
I hope you are all having a good weekend 🌞Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
