That jumper is lovely and the t-shirt sounds nice, we all need clothes and if they're so nice, why not? I am thinking of buying a sewing pattern with my leftover budget this week, I have to see how much it's left at the end of today, it resets tomorrow. I make most of my clothes and the fabric is usually free, so I think I should buy it, right?!
Where do you get free fabric? I make some clothes but the cost of fabric makes it more expensive than to buy.

Not as environmental friendly as WW thinks! There's a big online craft store that gives fabric in exchange for product reviews. You have to post pictures and write a post about something you made using that fabric, so while it doesn't cost money you need to put some time into that. I also shop from home, I have a large collection I have curated over the years :grimace:

  • Thanks I knew there had to be a catch. I don't have stashes these days. No room. I buy exactly what's needed to make something. I am attempting jeans for Mr M_F but as I've never mad anything for a man before it's proving challenging. It's the fitting that's the problem but I will get there some day 🤣

Good luck! Bottoms are very difficult to fit, I usually go for 'good enough'  :D

I sometimes pick up larger sized clothes in the CS and use the fabric to make myself something - it helps I suppose that I'm a size 12 so if I can pick up a nice skirt in a size 20 or bigger I can make myself a dress or sometimes even a top and skirt - have to admit I tend to sew mainly cottons.  Don't really like sewing stretch fabrics.  Sheets and quilt covers are another good source of cotton fabric or even curtains sometimes.  Definitely worth a look in your local CS.

    I used to do that when I was a 10 😊
I brought a walking foot and already have an over locker so jersey is no problem now. I like cashmerette patterns. Think they do smaller sizes now. Helen's closet is also good for basics. I made the Tanya overalls from there.

I bought the pattern! I feel like this announcement fits better here in WW's diary than it would anywhere else 🤣

Not at all. I’m in awe of clothes making. My first quilt (2 years ago) was my first attempt at sewing. I love quilting, but want to get good at it rather than trying too many things. I struggle doing the actual quilting on my machine and daren’t attempt free motion! I watch long arm quilting on you tube and Facebook and am 😮😮….the things you can do with a £10k machine 🙄
