Good morning and happy Tuesday ☕️🍫🎄
yawn…I really need another day off!Another NSD yesterday and calling early for today. I did order bonio’s yesterday, but pet supplies don’t count as they are essentials (or so the furries tell me). Christmas cards have started landing, I got 2 yesterday and had that smug sense of relief when I opened them and saw they were from people I’d posted one to on Sunday 🤣 I always forget someone!I am hoping to shuffle a tiny bit more to my pots and a mortgage overpayment this week, but don’t want to do it too early and then have to shuffle it back. I have about £150 left until the end of the month and have nothing I need to buy apart from one small extra present. It’s hard learning not to be a fritterer! I enjoy spending so much I even enjoy paying bills and shuffling money! There’s a weird satisfaction in seeing it go, before the sadness of realising it’s gone.
I hope you all have tremendous Tuesdays full of happiness and good luck and excellent treats. Be kind to yourselves, you deserve looking after too 📚🍫☕️🎄Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh that’s interesting about the NSD - so it doesn’t count if you’re buying essentials? I’ve been counting them as spend days if I buy anything at all 🙄Credit Card 1 - £6249.99 £4,900
Credit Card 2 - £13,481.47 £12,985
Total debt - £19,731.46 £17,885

@CL21 and @Sun_Addict … I think everyone sets different targets. Some people include everything, some exclude dd’s, regular bills, fuel or essentials. I find it too hard if I include the things I have to buy, so I set my target on non essentials. So if I buy sweets, a book, a present for someone that counts, but pet food if I’ve almost run out, buying the heating oil, paying the mortgage, etc. Don’t count for me as they are needs, not wants. Cathybird explains it better on the NSD challenge post 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Caught up I think, I didn't realise you had been working from home for years, I thought it was just during cv as it was quite unusual before. My youngest sometimes works from home and loves it, she reckons she can get her work done quicker, but the downside is having to make her own cups of tea!!
Glad the saving is still going on, my g&e has crept up a bit but I had a fixed tariff until next April, so I've got a bit of leeway, but the standing charge went up, and I refuse to go too cold, I hate being cold!!
I'm another one who calls a nsd one that I have used cash or card for, I don't count direct debits or annual bills in it, as you say it has to work for you and what suits one person may not suit someone else.

Good morning and happy Wednesday 🎄🍫☕️📚
The large box I posted on Friday arrived yesterday at its destination, so one less Christmas thing to think about.Work was busy and stressy and I think it will be like that for the rest of the month. There is lots to do before my holidays 😖
I paid £4.76 off the mortgage by rounding my figures. Another drop in the ocean. 10 yrs of this and I might knock a month off 😬
We cracked open the tin of Christmas shortbread on Monday and now I’m wishing I’d bought 2…I may need to splash out on another 😋 it’s just the Lidl one, but it’s very good.Anyway I’ve nothing really special to report and it’s just work today, so no fun.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday filled with all good things ☕️🍫📚🎄Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
